The Plan
Four phases. No magic. No powders. No shortcuts. Just the systematic dismantling of the food environment that is making you fat.
You do not need to become a gym influencer. You need to become less captive.
The 7-Day Intake Splint
Goal: Stop the bleeding.
No liquid calories
Water, black coffee, plain tea, unsweetened drinks. No soda, sweet tea, juice, milkshakes, fancy coffee sugar bombs.
No grazing
Meals are events. Snacks are planned, not random.
Protein first
Every meal starts with real protein: eggs, fish, chicken, beef, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, beans, lentils, tofu.
Fiber on the plate
Vegetables, beans, berries, whole fruit, potatoes, oats, whole grains if tolerated.
No convenience-store calories
Gas stations are for fuel, not meals.
Kitchen closes
Pick a closing time and honor it. Not extreme fasting — routine.
The 30-Day Store Splint
Goal: Fix the food environment.
Do not bring home food that argues with your goals
If it's in the house, you will eat it. The battle is at the store, not the pantry.
Shop the short-list first
Meat, eggs, fish, vegetables, fruit, beans, potatoes, oats, plain yogurt, nuts, olive oil, water, coffee, tea.
Read the front label last
The front of the package is marketing. The ingredient list is the confession.
Beware health costumes
"Protein cookie." "Keto candy." "Organic cane sugar." "Real fruit flavor." "Low fat" dessert. "Energy" drink. "Granola" that is basically crushed cookies.
Deer Mode
Goal: Movement after intake discipline.
Walk outside daily
Not on a treadmill watching a screen. Outside, in weather, on terrain.
Get sunlight
Morning light, midday walks, outdoor time. Your body needs the signal.
Build strength twice a week
Push, pull, squat, carry. Simple movements that make you harder to break.
Take stairs and hills
Avoid the elevator. Choose the harder path. Earn the view.
Maintenance
Goal: Stop relapse.
Weekly weight & waist
Focus on trends, not daily panic. Bodies fluctuate. Routines reveal.
Pantry audit
Weekly check: has anything snuck back in that shouldn't be there?
Restaurant & sugar drink count
Track how often you eat out and drink sugar. Awareness is accountability.
Sleep, mood, and cravings
Log the signals. When sleep drops, cravings rise. When mood drops, snacking rises. See the pattern.
